Grenada’s Ambassador to China Visits China Rehabilitation Research Center

On the afternoon of September 23, the Ambassador of Grenada to China, Ian Marshall, paid a visit to the China Rehabilitation Research Center. Wu Shicai, a member of the council of the China Federation of Disabled Persons and director of the Center, and relevant personnel from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange Work and the Ministry of International Medical Affairs attended the meeting. The talks were chaired by Fan Tao, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange.

Director Wu Shicai welcomed Ambassador Ian Marshall visit and briefed him about the Centre and new developments in international exchange and cooperation in the field of rehabilitation. He pointed out that this year coincided with the 20th anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic relations between China and Georgia, and the bilateral relations ushered in a new period of opportunity. As a key country along the Belt and Road Initiative, Grenada is willing to under the guidance of the Belt andRoad cooperation and the Global Development Initiative. We will continue to promote practical cooperation with Grenada and Caribbean countries in the fields of rehabilitation medical technology exchange, professional talent training, rehabilitation facilities construction, and remote medical treatment, so as to jointly enhance the well-being of the two peoples.

Meeting with leadership of the CRRC

Ambassador Marshall thanked the center for its warm reception and praised the center’s professionalism and outstanding achievements in the field of prosthetic orthopaedics and rehabilitation medicine. He said that the Grenada government attaches great importance to people’s health and social well-being, and continuously promotes the reform of the medical system and the capacity building of rehabilitation services. In the future, Grenada can be used as a starting point to help promote exchanges and cooperation between Caribbean countries and centers in related fields such as neurophysical therapy and autism rehabilitation.

Before the talks, Ambassador Ian Marshall visited the prosthetic orthopedic center, the International Medical Ministry, the sports therapy department, the work therapy department and the traditional Chinese medicine treatment center, as well as the national autism rehabilitation research center, and exchanged views with medical frontline professionals

High-Level Delegation from Nine Caribbean Countries Visits Shandong

From August 14 to 15, a delegation of Permanent Secretaries and senior representatives from the foreign ministries of nine Caribbean countries visited Shandong Province.

On the evening of August 14, Vice Governor Song Junji met with the delegation in Jinan.

Song Junji extended a warm welcome to the guests and introduced Shandong’s economic and social development. He emphasized that Shandong highly values exchanges and cooperation with Caribbean nations, noting the growing bilateral ties, strengthened cultural and educational exchanges, and expanding practical collaboration.

Looking ahead, she expressed hope to leverage the China-Caribbean Development Center (CCDC) as a key platform to:

– Deepen friendly exchanges,

– Promote mutual learning in broader fields,

– Expand higher-level economic and trade cooperation,

– Build closer partnerships, and

– Achieve greater mutual benefits.

Hutchinson, Permanent Secretary of Grenada’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, praised Shandong’s development achievements and highlighted the strong foundation of cooperation between Shandong and the Caribbean. He expressed a desire to enhance collaboration in trade, investment, green development, and infrastructure, as well as strengthen people-to-people exchanges and subnational ties.

During their stay, the delegation also:

– Attended the CCDC’s 3rd Anniversary Exchange Event,

– Visited Shandong Heavy Industry Group.

Representatives from Jinan Municipal Government, provincial departments, and universities.
